Morado is typically valued for its similarities to the true Rosewoods (anything belonging to the Dalbergia Genus) and it often used as a cheaper, more readily available substitute. It has a beautiful and varied grain with black streaking and it turns and finishes well. Commonly used in musical instruments, cabinetry and turning.
