Our select douglas fir is dried and dressed smooth on all four sides ready for sanding and finishing on your next project. It has a fairly consistent light wood tone with tanish hues, some pieces may have light pink undertones. The grain is typically quite pronounced. It is a fairly strong and hard as far as softwoods go and great for applications such as boat building and fine furniture projects. The select grade means most pieces will be free of knots.
